New Shopping Center in Costa Rica

With an investment of $4 million Mango Plaza, located near the International Juan Santamaria Airport, will open in December.

The new center will feature stores, supermarkets, appliance stores, fast food restaurants, and a small office building.

The office center will be located in the same complex where Courtyard by Marriott, operated by Caribe Hospitality, can also be found.

"The developer of the proposed 5,600 square meters building, Real Estate Portfolio (Pinmsa), told El Financiero that construction will start in June."

'Terra Oficinas' ("Office Land" in Spanish) and 'Parque Empresarial del Este' ("East Side Business Park") are two new centers in the east of San Jose.

With an investment of more than $100 million, the Parque Empresarial del Este office block will be built on a 90,000 m2 site in the east of the Costa Rican capital, close to the center.

New Shopping Malls in Costa Rica

6 new shopping centers are planned for 2011, including Plaza Lincoln and an expansion to “Avenida Escazú”.

Plaza Lincoln will be built in Moravia, in a 90.000 square meter area, starting in June. Sylvia Casas, marketing head at project developer Pinmsa, told Elfinancierocr.com that its construction should require 18 months.
