The figure exceeded the $15 million originally expected by its organizer, the Guatemalan Chamber of Industry, and it was visited by 8,000 people, 2,000 more than expected.
Javier Zepeda, executive director of the Chamber, "found some success stories such as the U.S. company Essex Food Group, which managed to do deals with seven Guatemalan companies. Mettings were held with Molinos Modernos, Cervecería Centroamericana, La Popular, Ideal, Anabelly, Industrias Kent and Agropecuaria Eslovaquia"."
The chairman of the event, Arturo Rodriguez, reported that 85% of participating employers were satisfied with the activity, and commented that the event was attended by representatives of the pharmaceutical, food, beverages, metal, technology, plastics, construction and footwear industries.
