$60 Million in Honduran Tourism Project

The Inter-American Development Bank will finance "Playa Equipada", a touristic endeavor located in Tela.

René Gómez, who heads the Municipal Tourism Unit (UMT), explained that "Playa Equipada" will comprise recreation areas, kiosks, pedestrian areas, playgrounds for children and a pier for motorboats.

Gomez added: "the project will take between two and three years to complete, creating direct and indirect jobs related to construction. Once ready, it will generate various job positions in tourism".

Florida Ice Withdraws from Tourism Project in Costa Rica

The company has announced its withdrawal from the Peninsula Papagayo tourism project in the Guanacaste Province.

The company owned a "minority share" of the project.

Millionaire Investment Awaiting Environmental Permits

Touristic project "Guacalito de la Isla", to be developed in 670 hectares in Nicaragua, is awaiting environmental permits.

It is being developed by Sociedad Marina de Guacalito S.A., subsidiary of Grupo Pellas, and will include 490 lots for luxury residences.
