WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU AND PANAMA TO HAVE WON THIS AWARD? As human beings, it is difficult for someone not to be proud of receiving any award. But in my case I have always known that I represent an organization made up of more than 9500 persons. These are 9500 Panamanians who are share one work spirit in a company which means a lot to our country. This is a prize for all the workers at the ACP, and for the country.

Leaders from Panama and El Salvador win 2008 Excellence Award

Alberto Alemán Zubieta, administrator of Panama Canal and Max Novoa, founder of Publimóvil in El Salvador won the award from the América Economía magazine.

Both businessmen were among 20 of the most relevant economic leaders from Latin America, according the the 2008 Excellence Awards of the América Economía magazine.

The administrator of the Panama Canal Authority, Alberto Alemán, received the Maritime International Award 2009 by the International Maritime Organization.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO), is part of the United Nations, and has 156 member states.

Creativity that wins markets in Guatemala

Innovation, persistence and creativity are the raw materials that make winners of Guatemala's Rural Productivity Prize.

This year, five companies received prizes of 45,000 quetzales (about 6,000 dollars) each, and this capital will be used for different activities to develop farm products.
