Under the ‘Agricultural Exporter’ category the award went to the El Injerto’ Farm, exporter of one of the best coffees in the world.
Other companies who received awards include, Ixpanpajul National Park Service, Service Exporter and Business Community Forest (Forescom), and the Exporter of Business Chains (Exportador de Encadenamiento Empresarial).

The agricultural company Agropecuaria Popoyán was given the award for 2010's "best exporter of the year".
Agropecuaria Popoyán specializes in growing and exporting fruit and vegetables cultivated in greenhouses and certified according to the ISO 9001-2000 standard.
Guatemalan Exporters’ Association (AGEXPORT) made awards in five categories: New Exporter, Rural Agricultural Collaboration, Manufacturing, Services and Exporter of the Year.

Exporting companies were invited to participate in the 2010 National Exporting Award.
Organizations will participate in three different categories: agriculture, manufacture and services. The jury will also recognize one company as the Exporter of the year.
Fernando Herrera, from the organizing committee of the National Exporters Association (Agexport), told Sigloxxi.com: “To participate, companies must complete the formularies available at www.galardonalaexportacion.com, or request them via email at galardon@agexport.org.gt”.

Bimbo de Centroamérica S.A. was recognized as the Best Exporter of the Year by Agexport.
Agexport, the Guatemalan Exporters Association, awarded various companies in different categories.
Local newspaper El Periodico lists the winners: Tecojate S.A. won the Agriculture Exporter award, Genesis Partnership Company won best Manufacture Exporter, Transactel won in Services, and the Productivity award was given to Paul Ecke Guatemala.

The Chamber of Exporters demanded the next administration greater commitment with the exporting sector.
"An example: the Free Zone Law. We know it will provide greater security for companies and attract more investment. However, it is useless to have a law which favors the most vulnerable or unprotected areas, if we don't have the required infrastructure, staff and telecommunications", stated Mónica Araya, president of the Chamber of Exporters.
