Costa Rica Hopes to Grow Medical Tourism

Competing with giants like Mexico and Brazil, Costa Rica managed to attract 40,000 health tourists in 2010 and hopes to attract more with a variety of value added medical tourism offers.

First Regional Meeting of Business Chambers

The regional coordinator, Alberto Zeni, commented that during the meeting, the "Consolidate" project results will be announced by business chambers from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.

It is organized by the World Bank and the Council of the Americas.

“The forum intends to promote investments in strategic areas such as logistics, agriculture and tourism”, reported Prensa Latina. “Panama will use the event to showcase its advantages as a hub for regional headquarters of multinational corporations”.
