Businesses from El Salvador and Mexico join forces

A Business Chamber between the two countries has been created to boost trade.

Major companies with local and regional presence in El Salvador have decided to join forces and build a partnership with representatives of Mexico's business sector, in order to get most benefit out of intraregional trade.

According to an article in Elsalvador.com: "Initially, the organization will consist of 18 companies, among which are GRUMA (Grupo Maseca), Dina Motors, Wal Mart Mexico, TACA-Avianca and Grupo Calvo."

Inauguration of Mexico - El Salvador Business Chamber

The initiative aims to contribute to strengthening trade and investment promotion between the two nations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hugo Martinez, inaugurated on March 29th in Mexico City, Mexico, the Mexico-El Salvador Business Chamber (CAMEXSAL), an initiative to help strengthen trade and investment promotion between the two nations.

First Regional Meeting of Business Chambers

August 2010

The event will be held on 25 and 26 August in Guatemala and is supported by the German BFZ foundation.

The regional coordinator, Alberto Zeni, commented that during the meeting, the "Consolidate" project results will be announced by business chambers from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.

New Financial Chamber in El Salvador

The financial private sector created the Chamber of Associations of the Financial Sector of El Salvador.

It aims to group all the country’s financial associations and interact with the future single superintendence, which will combine the three that exist now.

It is composed of the banking, pensions, insurance and stock brokers associations (Abansa, Asafondos, ASES and Acabolsa).

Central American businesses demand from governments clear mechanisms to combat insecurity in the region.

The president of the Federation of Private Entities of Central America, Panama and Dominican Republic (FEDEPRICAP), Carlos Amador, said, "Central America is threatened by drug trafficking, gangs and transnational organized crime and to help combat these problems there is an need for a united isthmus."
