CEMEX will soon start producing a new brand of concrete, Hidratium, a technology using internal curing of the concrete which is already available in France, Ireland, Mexico, Poland and Guatemala.

"Among the advantages of this type of concrete are: replacement of external curing, removes cracking due to plastic shrinkage, long-term reduction of contraction by at least 50% and reduced water evaporation by approximately 80%", according to an article on Capital.com.pa.

"Davide Zampini, director of CEMEX’s Research Center in Switzerland, said that CEMEX offers an innovative technology that allows customers to avoid the additional investment of time and resources to maintain adequate moisture levels and achieve maximum performance concrete," reports the website.
