Central America Travel Market (CATM) brings together technical experts and professionals from the Central American tourism industry and gives people the opportunity to build commercial relationships between suppliers and wholesalers in international markets such as Europe, Asia and South America.
The main objectives are to:
- Raise awareness of the region as an internationally competitive multi-attraction tourism destination.
- Increase Central America's share of international tourists with the aim of generating corresponding benefits in jobs, income and local development.

Panama is to host the eighth regional tourism fair, known as the ‘Central American Travel Market’ (CATM).
The event will take place in the Figali Convention Center in Panama from 19 to 21 October 2011.
The Central American Travel Market Fair (CATM) is a technical-professional encounter, in which Central American tourism providers offer an opportunity to establish trade relations with with major wholesale international source markets such as Europe (primary market), Asia and Latin America among others.
October 2010
The fair will begin on Monday October 18th with participation of 245 tourism wholesalers.
Countries like China, India, Japan, Russia, Turkey and New Zealand among others will attend the seventh edition of the Central America Travel Market (CATM), which will take place in Antigua Guatemala from the 18th to the 20th of October.
July 2008
Nicaragua will host the Central American Travel Market – Catam 2008 – from October 10 through 12.
Catam is a trade fare that allows travel wholesalers from the United States, Europe and Asia to get to known Central America's tourist destinations and find a place for them in their catalogues.
September 2009
El Salvador will host the sixth regional tourism fair "Central America Travel Market (CATM)".
Before the event, invitees will be shown the country's touristic spots, said Napoleón Duarte, Salvadoran tourism minister.
"The fair will be inaugurated on October 9th, with an activity in the National Theater of San Salvador", added Duarte to local newspaper La Prensa Gráfica.
