More Restaurant Franchises in Honduras

In 2009 $25.7 million was paid for franchising licenses and international licenses, increasing to $30.4 in 2010.

The results of a study conducted by the Central Bank, the Ministry of Industry and the Tourism Institute, indicate that from January to June 2011, companies paid $15.2 million by way of franchises and the figure for the end of the year is expected to be $32 million.

"According to the study, brands in the fast food business stand out among the best known in Honduras, among a broad portfolio of international franchises.

The cost of a franchise varies, but the more well known the brand is, the higher the royalty payment", noted Elheraldo.hn

Besides the store in Multiplaza, the US franchise will open restaurants in El Dorado, Albrook, Metro and Villa Lucre shopping malls, among others.

Burger King To Invest $6 Million in Costa Rica

“Corporación Alimentos del Rey”, owner of the franchise, will invest over the next three years to open new restaurants.

Company president Salomón Aizenman explained they will install 5 new restaurants outside the Central Valley and update two existing stores.
