Companies Bid for Feeding at Prisons

5 companies submitted bids for a $34 million contract comprising feeding inmates at two Panamanian prisons.

The contract comprises feeding inmates and prison staff at the penitentiaries of Panama and Colon from January 1st, 2010, to December 31st, 2012.

"The companies are Niko’s Café, Alimentos Prácticos, Copase, Grupo Cesarín and Nelson Café Peatonal", reported Prensa.com. "The lowest priced bid was submitted by Alimentos Prácticos S.A., who since 2007 has supplied the country's penitentiary system".

Panama Invites Bids for $34 Million Food Contract

The project comprises supplying food for jailed convicts and their guardians.

According to the bidding rules, the contractor will have to service prisons located in the provinces of Panama and Colón, between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2012.

Bids must be submitted before December 14, 2009, at the offices of the Ministry of Government and Justice.

El Salvador Invites Bids For Prison Food

The purchase will be made by the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety of El Salvador.

The offer is for the purchase of food served to detainees, security and administrative staff of the following centers: a) Pavón Model Rehabilitation Farm, Fraijanes, Department of Guatemala; b) Preventive Detention for Men Zone 18 of Guatemala, Guatemala department, c) Preventive Detention for Men "Constitutional Reinstatement" Fraijanes (Pavoncito), Department of Guatemala; d) Women's Correctional Center, Fraijanes, department of Guatemala, and ) Preventive Detention Center for Women "Santa Teresa", Zone 18, Guatemala, Guatemala department, f) General Department of Prisons (Headquarters), g) Center of Misdemeanor Offenses for Men, zone 18 Guatemala City, Guatemala Department h) Preventive Detention for Men Fraijanes I, i) Detention Center for Men Fraijanes II, by the General Department of the Penitentiary System.

Panama Launches $1.2 Million Tender for Hospitality Services

The Social Insurance Institute (CSS) invited companies to bid on supplying hospitality and food services.

The contract seeks to hire hospitality and food services for patients staying in Panama City and coming from other regions of the country between July 2011 and December 2012.
