Construction Association Meets

Panama will host the meeting of the Regional Chamber of Construction Organizations of Central America and the Caribbean on the 5th and 6th May.

Representatives from across the region will participate, presenting among other things, a report on the status of the sector in their respective countries.

World Congress on Engineering and Infrastructure in Panama

The Panama Canal Administrator Alberto Zubieta German, has announced that the First World Congress on Engineering and Infrastructure will take place in Panama from 18 to 20 April 2012.

The event will be attended by experts from 10 countries who will speak on international trends in the sector.

Builders Request to split Panamanian Mega-Projects

Panamanian construction businessmen have requested the government to split the contracts for mega-projects, in order to enable the participation of more companies.

Currently, the requirements imposed by the Government for most infrastructure projects are impossible to meet by domestic companies.

Expo Habitat 2009 Deals Could Reach $100 Million

The event is organized by the Panamanian Construction Chamber (CAPAC) between September 16th and 20th.

325 national and international exhibitors will participate in the fair, located in Atlapa Conventions Center.

Enrique Asensio, president of the organizing committee, told newspaper Panamá América: "...CAPAC wants to promote real estate products ... we estimate over $100 million in deals".

Panama Stages Expo Vivienda 2010

Expo Vivienda 2010 will take place from April 8 to 11 at the Atlapa Conventions Center.

It is organized by the CAPAC, the Panamanian Construction Chamber, who expects participants to close deals for $75 million at the event.
