Costa Rica: Real estate development funds increase assets

The Real Estate Development Funds have recorded an increase in their net assets of 539% from January to first half of September.

The number of investors has increased by 270%. This important increase is due to greater familiarity with the Funds in the market, according to various companies (called Safi in Spanish) that manage the Funds.
For example, at the end of 2007 there were only two funds, today there are six providing loans. Additionally there are 15 prospective funds that could start up in the next few months.

The businessman, Rafael Castellanos, told Elsalvador.com: "El Encanto Villas & Golf has become paralyzed due to the electoral uncertainty in the country.

$400 million housing project in El Salvador

The project, which will include an 18-hole golf course and club house, will begin to be built in November to the south of the capital.

El Encanto Villas & Golf, as it is called, will start will and estimated investment of $400 million and includes residential lots, apartments, golf course and country club. The figure includes investments by the owners.

Warehouses Open in El Naranjo in Guatemala

Toward the end of May, 11 “Distribodegas” (distribution warehouses) and 6 locales for the "CRECE, Business Community" project will open.

The project includes an 11-level tower for offices and commerce, plus eleven distribution warehouses and storage areas with loading docks.
