A statement from the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE) states that the foreign trade Minister will head a delegation from Costa Rica as part of an effort to attract investment beginning this year, to North Carolina, USA.
The statement notes that “During the visit, Minister Gonzalez will also meet with a group of experts in global value chains from Duke University.
The Minister of Foreign Trade, Anabel Gonzalez, along with Fernando Ocampo and Deputy General Director of the Costa Rican Coalition for Development Initiatives (CINDE) Gabriela Llobet, are aiming to attract investment in the financial, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy services and high technology sectors, among others.
‘This is an interesting city, in which a large number of companies from different sectors are concentrated, ranging from textiles to finance, through high-tech industries and services. Promotion efforts in the destination country assures us contact with a variety of sectors and companies in which we are interested, we will share with them the advantages of Costa Rica as a destination for foreign direct investment and we hope to awaken and stimulate interest in exploring the country as a suitable place to operate’, explained Minister Gonzalez.”
