COSTA RICA - The reknowned event "Costa Rica Technology Insight" will hold its sixth edition on June 3 and 4 at the San José Palacio Hotel, in San Jose, Costa Rica, during the "Costa Rica Services Summit 2009", organized by the Foreign Trade Corporation of Costa Rica (PROCOMER) in cooperation with the Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies of Costa Rica (CAMTIC).
The reknowned event "Costa Rica Technology Insight" held its sixth edition this June 3 and 4 during the "Costa Rica Services Summit 2009", a business meetings event organized by the Foreign Trade Corporation of Costa Rica (Procomer) in cooperation with the Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies of Costa Rica (CAMTIC).
Costa Rica Technology Insight has managed to position Costa Rica as one of the most competitive destinies in Latin America, as confirmed by the consulting firm AT Kearny in his survey "Destination Latin America: A Near-Shore Alternative 2007".
This year, CAMTIC and its project Link Exportación also provided a comprehensive technology platform for registration, setting appointments and virtual organization on the agenda of the event, primarily through the website www.CostaRicaisIT.net (which means Costa Rica is Technology Information), the exclusive Internet marketing website for technology companies of Costa Rica.
This technological system of business meetings allows entrepreneurs and investors from all over the world to subscribe and place their profiles through the Internet. The system also allows them to search for companies profiles and to pursue their own agendas in the business meeting.
The system allows the companies to review, see their profile and accept, reject or re-arrange business appointments with other participants, according to their own convenience and with the support of the Link Exportacón Project, CAMTIC and Procomer.
According to the President of CAMTIC, Alexander Mora Delgado, "the involvement of services companies in several sectors of production, all enabled by information and communication technologies (ICT), is one of the innovations of the event, which seeks to emphasize more on the ' cross-fertilization "that the Costa Rican eco-technological system is consolidating."
The technology platform that enables the distribution of the business meetings was developed by Costa Rican companies, following the highest international standards. "This shows that the event is not only seeking business development for entrepreneurs in the ICT sector, it is a window to showcase products and services in Costa Rica, boasting our slogan for IT sector, which says 'Costa Rica is green and smart' and which refers not only to the natural wealth of the country, but the value of their human capital", said Alexander Mora.
