Costa Rica To Promote Tech Services

The Exports Promotion Agency will promote integral technology services from Costa Rica in the United States.

The first step in this initiative is the creation of a consortium of technology companies called IT Innovation Group.

"U.S. companies requiring advice and support in software development, project management, quality control and internet marketing will be able to purchase all or some of these services through a single provider", reported Nacion.com.

80 Business Deals Closed in Costa Rica Services Summit

The first edition of the service export event brought together around 500 businesspeople from 23 countries around the world.

According to estimates by the Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER), there were 40 strategic alliances in the sector of information and communication technology, 9 in architecture and construction, 13 for audiovisual and 10 for medical tourism during the two days of the meeting.

The event will bring together information and communication technology, tourism, health and welfare tourism, engineering, architecture and design and audiovisual production sectors for the first time.

During this event, which will take place on June 3 and 4, the well-know Costa Rica Technology Insight, which will celebrate its sixth edition this year will also take place.

Guatemalan Service Summit 2009

From September 10-12, special business conferences and a special fair will be conducted for the sectors.

The Guatemalan Association of Exporters launched the SERVICE SUMMIT on May 28. It is an Export Services Summit which includes the areas of Contact Center & BPO, Software Export, Laboratories, Health and Wellness Tourism and Sustainable Tourism.

The second edition of the services exporting summit was inaugurated today.

Service Summit will gather companies providing exportable services in Guatemala.

"Event organizers reported 692 scheduled business meetings in 85 exhibitor locations", published local newspaper Prensa Libre.
