Panamanian Government and Huawei Sign Agreement

The company Huawei, from the telecommunication sector, together with authorities from the government have signed a cooperation agreement to accelerate Panama's modernization.

The agreement includes items seeking to provide training and technical skills in areas such as data networks, digital switching systems and optical access networks. This will help modernize public management of the country.

The National Bank of Costa Rica requires contracts for the purchase, installation and configuration of communications equipment for the Data Center Network, which provides all the institutional network services required by its staff.

HP Inaugurates Research Center in Costa Rica

Named 'Pro Curve', the center will focus on developing wireless networking software, data management and network security.

Arturo Velasco, HP director in Costa Rica, commented that this center is one of six the company has around the world.

"HP ProCurve has become one of the leading sellers of LAN networks for companies of all sizes", reported Karina Alpízar for Laprenaslibre.cr.
