Travelers choosing this card will obtain double miles for all their purchases, with a welcome credit of 4.000 to 20.000 miles, depending on the type of card.

"Members of this program have the flexibility of using their Delta miles in any flight, on any day", published Elfinancierocr.com, "this promotion will be valid from August 1 to October 31".

Unions Opposed to Credit Card Law Reform

Salvadoran private sector unions have expressed their opposition to state intervention in the market.

The new law, which sets a ceiling on interest rates for credit cards, is deemed to be a hindrance for the country's economy.

According to the Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development, Fusades, the reforms will result in reduced access to financing, they are therefore calling on President Mauricio Funes to veto the reforms.

Panama: New Credit Cards Down 41%

Between January and September 2009, credit card companies issued 6.442 cards, 41% less than the same period of 2008.

This was mostly caused by banks imposing considerable restrictions to credit.
