The US-based digital production services company avVenta has invested US$1.5 million in a 4,000 square-meter building in the Costa Rican province of Heredia. Within two years, it aims to have a workforce of 2,000.

The company designs Web pages, publicity banners and online marketing for Fortune 500 companies, including Yahoo, General Motors and Digitas, the leading interactive advertising agency.

avVenta Worldwide, a global leader of digital production and interactive services, today opened the doors to its newly designed, high-tech facility in San Jose, Costa Rica.

As part of the company's ongoing expansion plans, avVenta Worldwide designed this third facility in Costa Rica to accommodate over 1200 employees and plans to double its workforce in San Jose by year's end to 700 employees.
