There were six companies that made bids: MNV S.A. Gaskapital GRSA Consortium, the Italian company ASTALDI S.p.A., Constructora Santa Fe, Meco, CPK Consultores and SBI International Holding.
The bids for asphalt rubber concrete were between $9 and $19 million, and those for hydraulic concrete between $10 and $23.4 million. The lowest bids were by MNV S.A. and the highest by ASTALVI.
According to a report in elsalvador.com, this section is part of the Longitudinal Highway North, and "the investment is upwards of $461 million granted by the Millennium Cooperation Challenge. The mega project will be 290 kilometers long."
