"One of the first to join the chain will be the Hotel Suites Las Palmas, located in the Zona Rosa in San Salvador, which from 1. November will become the Clarion Suites San Salvador. According to a 2010 study by the Chamber of Commerce, 22 new franchises were identified in relation to 2009.
There are 172 franchises currently operating in the country of which 14% are in San Jose. Of the 147 international franchises, 59% are of U.S. origin.
"According to the study, there are 1.432 establishments operating in the country, of which 571 (38%) are national franchises and 861 (62%) are international," informed Elfinancierocr.com.
