El Salvador promoted as destination for Conventions

The "Meeting planners" were present at the Tourism Showcase & Travel Expo and had the opportunity to find out about the portfolio of products and services offered by the country for conventions and congresses.
The Vice Minister of Tourism, Michelle Gallardo, said that in the 2014-2020 Plan convention tourism is the main pillar for tourism development in the country.
"El Salvador wants to distinguish itself from the others as a country for meeting tourism," said Gallardo, especially since the country has new modern highways and the most modern airport in the region, the public official insisted.

The president of the Spanish company GSAR Marketing, and organizer of the meeting, Ramon Alvarez, in an interview with Acan - Efe said El Salvador was chosen because it has the ideal conditions for a good destination for convention tourism.
