Thursday, May 12, 2011

The first step of the project, which is expected to be completed in 2014, will be to find a company to conduct a study of the environmental and social impact on both nations.

The search for the company responsible for this first phase will be at an international level, as explained by representatives of the electric company ISA, Colombia.

An article in Prensa.com summarises: "The project consists of a direct current power transmission line of 600km between the substations Cerromatoso in Colombia, and Panama II, in Panama, with power transmission capacity of up to 600 megawatts. "
