Fifco Acquires Musmanni Corporation

Florida Ice & Farm, without disclosing the amount of the investment, has announced the purchase of the Musmanni Corporation, which owns the bakery of the same name in Costa Rica.

With the acquisition, Fifco acquires control of 30 branches operating in the country. There are 150 other stores operating under a franchise.

Asked by Nacion.com, Gisela Sanchez, director of Corporate Relations at Fifco, commented on the matter saying "The company aquired by Florida is an excellent business for production of bread, pastries and a franchise model of which we have much to learn"

The executive added that so far the company has no plans to change the modus operandi of the corporation, or make changes to their franchisees.

Florida Bebidas Also in Dairy Products

Coopeleche has signed an agreement with Florida Bebidas who will manage its plant in Alajuela, Costa Rica, and distribute its entire product line.

The company Florida Bebidas has signed a strategic partnership with la Cooperativa Agropecuaria Regional de Productores de Leche (Coopeleche RL) located in San Ramon de Alajuela.

Costa Rica: HA&COM Confirms Deal with Florida

The company HA&COM Bebidas del Mundo has reaffirmed its interest in selling its wine division to Florida Bebidas (Fifco).

María Pía Robles, Corporate and Communications director for HA&COM, commented in an email to the La Nacion newspaper that the companies have been working on the deal for a year, which will see the HI Cuveé and Vinum Aura businesses sold to Fifco. Together these comprise some 85 different wine brands.
