Gran luxury resort on Nicaraguan beach announced

Grupo Mariana announced the construction of a residential and tourist complex with 1350 units in Nicaragua.

According to the company, the resort, called Seaside Mariana Spa & Golf Resort, will be located near San Rafael del Sur, one hour from Managua, and will have 1350 units spread over an area of 923 acres.

One of the highlights of the project is the golf course, which will be developed by ex-golfer Jack Nicklaus.

The resort will also have a spa, hotel, beach club, archaeological museum that will display artifacts found at the site, medical tourism installations, and a commercial center with stores, restaurants and cafes.

Construction is set to start in December 2009 and the first phase completed in 2001.

The price of the residential units will range from $250,000 to $780,000.

The "Pristine Bay Resort" project being developed in Roatán will have a golf course designed by Pete and Perry Dye.

The designers of the new golf course are the same ones that designed the golf course in the recently opened "La Reunion" resort in Antigua, Guatemala.

According to an article in cybergolf.com, "Pristine Bay Resort is a tourism project on the island of Roatán, and it will have a hotel, a marina, a spa and condominiums with golf as a centerpiece.

Pristine Bay Resort, a touristic complex spanning 180 hectares, is being built in Roatán.

The project will be developed over the next 10 years, and includes a golf course designed by Pete and Perry Dye, two five star hotels and residential units.

Pablo García Salas, sales manager, told Elperiodico.com.gt: "The first phase, currently under construction, consists of 70 lots, 30 villas and 16 condos.

Terra.com reports: "One of the projects is the expansion of the hotel Pacific Turtle Resort & Spa, located in the seaside resort of San Juan del Sur in the Nicaraguan Pacific, where the investment will be $17 million.
