Guatemalan Ingesis Opens Operations in Costa Rica

The firm Ingesis of Guatemalan origin, specialist in IT solutions for large enterprises in the region, has opened operations in Costa Rica, reported ElNuevoDiario.com.ni.

According to Marketwire Hispanic Newsline, "Ingesis is represented in Central America by SAP software and business applications for smartphones and tablets. It has 100 employees."

The company plans to enter into the Panamanian market between 2012 and 2013, and also carries out consulting, technical assistance and education about new products.

Negotiations for Purchase of Cone Denim Textile Factory

European investors are to acquire the Cone Denim Plant in Nicaragua, which has been closed for 3 years and could reopen in late 2012.

"It is a fact that this year the Cone Denim plant will be reopened. We're just waiting for the (purchase) negotiations to be completed," confirmed Dean Garcia, executive director of the Nicaraguan Association of Textile and Apparel Companies (Anitec), according to Laprensa.com.ni.
