HP Invests $13 Million in Panama

A new global services center will attend Panama and several Latin American countries.

In its new facilities, the multinational corporation offers tech support and outsourcing services. It employs 145 workers, and has generated an additional 100 indirect jobs.

From Laestrella.com.pa: "Additionally, a technology training center will be built in Panama, after an agreement was signed with the Vocational Training Institute for Human Development and the Technological University of Panama".

With an investment of less than $1 million, the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics Company began operations in the country.

The company, which specializes in BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), has 30 job openings and it expects to have a staff of 50 people by the end of the year.

Nicaragua: $5 Million Investment in Technological Center

August 2009

"Accedo Technologies" Center will offer bilingual BPO services by the end of 2009.

Financing was obtained through the Central American Economic Integration Bank, known as BCIE for its Spanish initials.

"On of the participants of this new investment initiative is HEMCO, a mining corporation.
