The Honduran Congress had intended to begin the first hearing of discussions on 18 August but this proved impossible due to continuing review process.

"The committees have reviewed every contract in order to propose amendments, where appropriate, to the National Congress. The aim is to ensure that the power generation projects to not become a burden on the National Electric Energy Company (ENEE) finances or a social burden for local communities," reports Laprensa.hn.
