The cost of repairs according to information from the National Electricity Company (ENEE), is about $20 million.
Sub technical manager of ENEE, Leonardo Deras told Latribuna.hn that domestic and foreign experts have agreed on the urgency of initiating repairs and maintenance.
"He lamented that ‘unfortunately some bad governments have not given due importance to the problem and that has caused the problem to degenerate'.
He announced that the manager of the state power company, Roberto Martínez Lozano, ordered the start of the project with the identification of resources so that a tender process can be begun this year to find a specialized company to carry out the work.
'We have already well-defined what jobs need doing on the technical side, both the amount of work and investment, all that is needed now is to find the funds’, the official said."
