Honduras Awards $ 2.3 Million in Municipal Consulting

The contract is for commercial and operational consulting for a period of three years in nine municipalities.

This is the second bid awarded to the consulting firm in Central America. In 2009 it won a $ 8.8 million bid in Panama sponsored with the Institute of Aqueducts and Sewage Systems (Idaan).

Panama: Sabesp Awarded Drainage Contract

The Brazilian company will consult on the design and development of a rational water usage program.

"Saneamiento Básico del Estado de Sao Paulo", known for its acronym Sabesp, will participate with the National Sewage and Aqueducts Institute in drainage projects in Panama's central provinces.

Costa Rica: Municipalities to Finance Works with Debt

Several regional governments are planning to issue debt in order to pay for public works projects such as highways and buildings.

For example, a group of seven Atlantic region municipalities intend to issue $13.7 million of debt in order to improve their road infrastructure.
