InduExpo 2009 Produces Business Worth $53 Million

It is expected that an additional $42 million will be closed in the medium term, meeting the initial expectation of $95 million.

The 2009 edition of the industrial fair, InduExpo, organized by the Guatemalan Chamber of Industry (CIG) was carried out between April 22 and 24. The event involved 300 companies and some 5,000 entrepreneurs from Central America and other countries.

The vice president of CIG, Juan Antonio del Busto, told Prensalibre.com: "InduExpo was an opportunity to lessen the effects of the global economic slowdown that is hurting the country."

Induexpo 2009 will be held at the Industrial Park in Guatemala with the participation of 300 companies from April 22 - 25.

Juan Antonio Busto, president of the Organizing Committee, announced the participation of five thousand entrepreneurs from Central America and other countries.

In April the third edition of the Central American Industrial Fair (Induexpo) will be held. This fair brings companies together from 14 productive sectors.

Annie Briz de Córdova, Induexpo manager, said to LAPRENSA.com.ni: "...at this edition of the fair, which will be held from April 22-25, we hope to the 92 million dollars that were negotiated in 2007, when the number of visitors from Central America and eight countries from North America, Europe and Asia."

Guatemala: InduExpo in June

The Chamber of Industry of Guatemala will hold the industrial fair from the 21st to the 24th of June at the Industrial Park.

The organizers aim to engage 10.000 businessmen and to enhance the attractiveness of the region from the industrial perspective.


Arturo Zimeri, from the Chamber of Industries of Guatemala, noted that the event will showcase the value of each country's industry from a regional perspective.

$100 million in Business Deals at Indu Expo 2011

The industrial trade fair in Guatemala conducted 1,120 business meetings in which deals worth $100 million were struck.

The figure exceeded the $15 million originally expected by its organizer, the Guatemalan Chamber of Industry, and it was visited by 8,000 people, 2,000 more than expected.
