A statement from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of El Salvador reports that: ”The International Food Festival by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the most anticipated culinary event in the country, because every year it offers the public the best of gastronomic dishes on offer from more than sixty restaurants, cafes and other establishments specializing in the art of cooking , which will compete with over 240 different dishes classified into fourteen categories.
Event organizers expect five hundred people to attend, including diplomats, chefs, entrepreneurs, professionals, restaurant owners and the general public.
The event is aimed at hotels, restaurants, culinary schools, reception halls, caterers and bakers, among others, who will compete in fourteen different categories, which are:
- Starters and Salads
- Broths and Soups
- Pasta
- Rice
- Poultry
- Fish
- Seafood
- Meat
- National Dishes
- Desserts
- Decorated Cakes
- American pork and beef cuts
- Vegetarian (main course)
- Salvadoran Gourmet
Prizes will be awarded to chefs and participating retailers for best flavor and best presentation in each category.
