Organized by the Union of Industrialists, the 4th. International Symposium on Energy entitled, "The Challenge Facing the Energy Industry" will be held on 24 and October 25, 2011 at the Hotel El Panama.

New Hydroelectric Plant in Nicaragua

The power plant built in León will generate 27.2 megawatts of energy. It required an investment of $30 million.

The new plant in León, together with two new plants Nagarote and Puerto Sandino, will generate 120 megawatts in total, with which the Ministry of Energy and Mines hopes to solve energy distribution problems in Nicaragua.
