Jumex in Search of New Markets

From their plant in El Salvador, the company will begin exporting to the U.S. and Puerto Rico in 2011.

With a $ 20 million investment, the company built a plant in El Salvador for the processing of fruit juices and nectars, which will export to Central America, Dominican Republic and southern Mexico.

"This year we allocated two million dollars in order to expand processing capacity and space at the container yard. Now the plant has four production lines," reports Elsalvador.com. "For next year, the company's board approved an investment of about $ 4 million to further expand production lines and infrastructure."

With an investment of $20 million, the juices and nectars production company officially inaugurated its first plant outside of Mexican territory.

Daniel Choto writes in an article published in Elsalvador.com: "The business, which is built in an area of 42 square meters, initiated its work starting in December of last year and already has generated 118 jobs at the national level and 313 in the region, including Panama and the Dominican Republic to where the product itself will be exported."

Fruit Juice Production in Panama

Agrosania Expands Production Plant

The Salvadorian dairy producer has invested $1.5 million over the last three years in the expansion of its facilities.

The investments made by Agroindustrias San Julian, Agrosania, in the expansion of the plant, new machines and improvements to the production process, among others, allowed the company to increase its payroll from 280 to 320 employees over the last year.

Honduras: $20 Million for Wheat Processing Plant

Molsa Group is going to build a mill for processing wheat flour, beginning in 2012.

The company, which has a presence in Central America having entered the Honduran market in the flour sector, wants to expand its presence in the country.

In order to do this, it is building a flour processing plant, which will provide more competition and efficiency in the baking industry.
