COSTA RICA -
Laninco S.A. has handled approximately 1,200 tonnes of project cargo to site in the north of Costa Rica at Las Pailas, where the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad is building a geothermal power station.
Laninco S.A. successfully coordinated the movement from port to site of 24 heavy and out of gauge units of up to 65 tonnes, plus regular cargo, taking into consideration low and weak bridges which are a particular problem in Costa Rica. All cargo was cleared from port and delivered ahead of schedule. The movement itself was the culmination of several months of logistics operations in which Laninco S.A. has moved up to 2,500 tonnes to site for the project.
