The meeting aims to promote trade among the participants, by gathering together in one place a diverse cross section of buyers and sellers of the region’s products.
This 1st. Mesoamerican Business Meeting will bring together business people from Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Mexico to present their products, have business meetings and understand each other’s business needs as well as learning about legal requirements and the success stories of foreign companies doing business in the region.
During these four days, employers will have the opportunity to attend lectures where they can find out about the national legal requirements for import-export, niche business opportunities, the main products in each of these countries and do business with their counterparts. Also, at the event each company will have the opportunity to present their product in an exhibition presented in the form of a fair made up of more than 100 stands.
The 1st. Mesoamerican Business Meeting, has the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, ProMéxico and Embassies from Mesoamerican countries in Mexico, thanks to the importance of developing a new platform for the promotion of increased trade relationships.

The fifth Manufexport event gathers 80 buyers from Central America, USA, the Dominican Republic and Germany in Antigua, Guatemala.
The conference gives 67 manufacturers of foods, drinks, plastics and cleaning products the opportunity to present their inventory.

The coordinator of the Guatemalan Exporters’ Association (AGEXPORT), Marco Tulio Recinos, told Sigloxxi.com that, "the event was a success" and added that, "markets were more diversified with 44% of buyers from the US but also representatives from the Dominican Republic and Mexico".
