Metrology Laboratory in Guatemala Renews Equipment

Equipment donated by the European Union will enable the laboratory to be updated in order to provide metrology services adhering to international standards.

The donation to the National Metrology Center (Cenamo) includes laboratory equipment for use with fine and coarse masses, volume and flow, temperature measurement, pressure, force, power, density and viscosity, dimensional, longitudinal, time and frequency, and reference materials.

Rafael Senan, head of the European Union’s delegation in the country, told Prensalibre.com "Cenamo now has updated equipment, this will, among other things, increase its ability to measure, for example, regarding coarse masses, the ability to measure has gone up from 20 kilograms to a ton. "

With the new equipment benefits will be felt by the pharmaceutical industry, agro industry and food processing among others sectors.

EU Demands Quality Control Law for El Salvador
