Brief history: CentralAmericaData.COM goes live on the web on April 1st, 2008, and rapidly positions itself as the first Central American business, economics and finance website, reaching by December 2008, 40.000 unique monthly readers and 100.000 monthly page views. In January 2009, it strikes an agreement with Summa Media Group, under which this company assumes commercialization of the site’s advertising portfolio, and the portal adopts a Summa Media Group brand as name, while maintaining unchanged its successful editorial line, and continues growing at a fast pace. In June 2009, it hits 85.000 monthly users and 200.000 monthly page views. New free services are added, dedicated to regional business to business networking, under the Central American Business Network project. In July 25, 2009, the agreement with Summa Media Group ceases, and CentralAmericaData.COM recovers its name and brand.
