NCO Group Opens New Call Center in Guatemala

The multinational's recently inaugurated Call Center required a $20 million investment.

NCO Group is an international supplier of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) with over 100 call centers around the world. On Tuesday, it inaugurated its new call center in Guatemala City, where it plans to employ 1.000 people.

"This new Guatemalan Call Center is a great addition to our call center network, and increases our capacity for serving our international customers", said Micheal J. Barrist, president and CEO of NCO.

Sykes Opens Third Call Center in Costa Rica

The multinational Sykes has increased its operations in Costa Rica, where it opened its third call center this week, a $2 million investment that aims to create 700 jobs.

The location chosen was Hatillo, south of San Jose, a place with favorable cost conditions. The initial number of employees is 300 people, reported Nacion.com.

Guatemala: $5 Million in New Call Center

24/7 Customer inaugurated its second call center, which will employ 1.000 people in 2010.

The company has an aggressive expansion plan for the country, which will only be restricted by the availability of bilingual personnel.

V Bharathwaj, company manager, told Prensalibre.com: "... for each direct job, the company could create 4 additional ones in related activities like transportation, maintenance or security, among others".

24/7 Customer Opens Contact Center in Nicaragua

August 2010

24/7 Customer, the global leader in predictive interaction solutions, announced the launch of its contact center in Managua, Nicaragua.

The company set up its tenth center world-wide, to deliver voice based inbound customer support service. Located in Accedo Technology Park, it currently employs nearly 150 people with plans to ramp up to 1000 people in the next 12-18 months.
