Nicaragua: EU To Support Development in San Juan del Sur

Decosur, a program funded by the European Union, has earmarked $11 million for developing the area’s tourism and fishing industries.

A touristic circuit, called “Southern Route, Forests and Turtles” (English for ‘Ruta del Sur, Bosques y Tortugas’), was inaugurated last week.

“This circuit is one of the projects sponsored by the San Juan del Sur Municipality”, reported Laprensa.com.ni. “Last Friday they inaugurated a market for small scale fishermen, located at the Shin Komatsu fishing terminal”.
