Nicaraguan businesses are looking to open new markets in South America.

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

In a bid to build even closer ties with countries with Ecuador, Peru and Chile, a group of company representatives is to visit these countries in May.

Nicaragua already exports to these nations and is seeking to increase trade with them on the back of increasing demand in their markets.

An article by Cristhian Marenco for El Nuevo Diario comments that, "the main objective of this trade mission is to understand demand in these countries, the opportunities for business and to present an offer for Nicaraguan exports. The president of Nicaragua's chamber of industry, Mario Amador, stated that the first country the team will visit will be Chile due to the recent signing of a free trade agreement.
