An article in Elmundo.com by Sury Velasco, reports that "In the first five months of 2011, the National Records Center (Centro Nacional de Registros - CNR) reported a 75% increase in requests for applications for the formalization of businesses, which has led to registration papers being issued up to a month late. The demand for applications has exceeded the response capacity of the CNR, leading to the opening of new jobs in the Trade Registry Office in 2012."
