Nicaragua betting on the export of services

We should be betting on "outsourcing" to drive economic development, said Javier Chamorro, executive director of ProNicaragua.

Friday, September 12, 2008

Outsourcing includes customer service calls which include collection services, product offers, etc. However, Chamorro explained that this call service is the lowest rung on the sectors value chain.
Chamorro indicated that they are already offering services in Nicaragua that have greater value than the calling service, such as financial analysis, accounting services and we are in the process of offering software design. He added that they might offer medical examination laboratory services and others that have higher costs in other countries but which for us is an attractive product.
