Nicaraguan Parliament Passes Digital Signature

The legislative passed an Electronic Signature bill, which will ease international transactions.

This bill explains that technically, electronic signatures are “electronically integrated data, which form a message or are associated with other data”.

José Pallais, President of the Justice Committee, explained that “it will ease electronic commerce; there won’t be a need for physical invoices, just electronic ones. This means a faster, easier and more accessible way of conducting business, something that has been used for years in more developed countries.”

Agro-Tourism promoted in Panama

Panama is seeking to develop agro-tourism and incorporate tourism activities related to the agricultural sector, thereby improving rural tourism.

To successfully implement the agro-tourism plan in the country, some agreements of cooperation have been signed with the Agronomy Faculty of the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and with the National Learning Service of Colombia which have experience in coffee farming.

Ecotourism and rural tourism wins new followers in Costa Rica

Ecotourism and rural tourism are attracting 38.5% of the visitors to the country, according to the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur).

"Just last year alone some 733,000 individuals carried ecotourism, an activity which promotes the conservation and sustainability of natural resources, as well as the inclusion and active participation of the local populations," Canatur explained.

TACA Leads Tourism Recovery Initiative in El Salvador

TACA Airlines and the Salvadoran Tourism Chamber (CASATUR) presented a proposal for reactivating the country’s tourism industry.

Ricardo Granillo, TACA’s sales director for Central America, explained that they intend to position the country as a tourism destination, with an updated and strong portfolio of services.

Nicaraguan 'Coffee Route' Receives International Support

A support program, funded with $1.2 million donated by Luxembourg, will benefit 130 touristic SMEs from the country's north.

This program will provide financial and logistic assistance to local companies, in order to increase the number of visitors to the area known as the 'Coffe Route'.
