Panama Invites Bids for $700.000 Feasibility Study

This study is for a Scientific and Technological R&D Center, known in Spanish as CIDECYT.

CIDECYT will engage in scientific and technological research for diverse applications, both practical and scientific, both for the Technical University of Panama as well as for the national and international scientific community. State institutions will work with this center in several development projects in the next years.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FEASIBILITY STUDY
Determine if it is feasible to install a Scientific and Technological R&D Center in the Chame district. It must help develop the western region of the province of Panama, strengthening the academic community in scientific and technological aspects. The study must also design the Center.

According to the bidding rules, the winning company will have 360 days to finish the study.

Tender for Biogas Plant Feasibility Study

In El Salvador, the Lempa River’s Executive Hydroelectricity Committee has announced a tender for a feasibility study to identify alternatives for the location of the project.

The study will include the identification of alternatives for the project location, quantification and characterization of wastewater and organic solid waste, identification of alternative technologies for the potential production of biogas and electricity in at least four strategic points in the basin, estimation of the investments required and analysis of the project’s economic, environmental and social benefits.

Feasibility Study for Hydropower Development in Honduras

The Secretary of State will receive expressions of interest for the Feasibility Study for the Mixcure River hydroelectric development project.

Services required include the development of consultancy project entitled "Feasibility Study of Hydropower Development at Mixcure River, Environmental Assessment and Elaboration of Implementation Strategy for Hydroelectric Development at Mixcure River," the objective of the consultancy is to provide ENEE and higher authorities with a feasibility study on Hydroelectric Development at Mixcure River and an implementation strategy that will allow the Government of Honduras to execute the renewable energy project according to the law.
