Panama: Negotiations for Sale of Heavy Equipment Company

The Ecuadorian company Importadora Industrial Agrícola is negotiating the purchase of Cardoze & Lindo, Panama's leading provider of heavy equipment to the construction sector.

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

The general manager of Cardoze & Lindo, Jorge Cardozo, told Prensa.com that negotiations for the sale of shares by the distributor of the Caterpillar brand in Panama, could be finalized by the end of September. He confirmed that company executives from the Ecuadorian Agricultural Industrial Importer (IIASA) were conducting inventories and audits in facilities Cardoze & Lindo.

"According to Cardoze the sale of the legendary company in the country is due to the lack of generational change and the need for large investments that are essential for maintaining market leadership", reports Prensa.com.
