Wednesday, August 17, 2011

In order to develop Panamanian entrepreneurship and business, the National Secretariat of Science and Technology (Senacyt) has signed an alliance with the Sam Walton School of Business, through which 50 scholarships are to be provided for partial study.

An article in Panamaamerica.com.pa states: "Rubén Berrocal, Senacyt secretary, explained that this post graduate degree course, which uses the business philosophy of Sam Walton (Wallmark creator) costs $10,000, however, 70% of it will be subsidized.

He said that negotiations are underway which aim to run the Sam Walton Business MBA in Ciudad del Saber, which will represent a great opportunity for Panama. The program will begin on October 7. Interested parties can access www.senacyt.gob.pa/arkansas for more information."
