Panama Persists with Trade Agreement with Caribbean Countries

Government representatives have expressed their interest in continuing negotiations for a trade agreement with Aruba this year.

Deputy Minister of International Trade Negotiations, Diana Salazar, spoke about a second round of talks with Aruba and the start of talks with Barbados.

"Also on 15th February in Panama, the first meeting with Cuba will be held, in order to address the issue of broadening of lists.

This meeting aims to ensure that the preferences conferred under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the island are actually beneficial to Panamanian producers", reported Panamaamerica.com.pa.

El Salvador Seeks Trade Agreement with Belize

Agreement between Cuba and Honduras under analysis

The Honduran Minister of Industry and Trade, Fredis Cerrato, announced that Honduras and Cuba will negotiate a limited scope trade agreement next year.

The Cuban government has presented its proposal and Honduras has already reviewed it and decided to negotiate the agreement, the official announced on Tegucigalpa's Radio America.
