In 2010, the industry produced 235 million liters of beer, 2.3% higher than 2009.
The increase in production has been accompanied by large investments by the country´s two breweries.

Ajemaya, bottler of the Big Cola brand, has begun selling the Peruvian brand Franca.
The beer is being sold in shops and restaurants around the country, and targets the premium consumer segment.
