Crecex, the Chamber of Local Representatives of Foreign Companies, will hold business rounds on September 21.

Katherinne Chaves, a Crecex executive, told newspaper La Prensa Libre that "Peruvian businessmen are interested in getting in touch with Costa Rican distributors, in order to introduce their products to our market. For this end, Crecex gives them profiles on how products move in the market, and organizes them business agendas".

Peru Interested in FTA with Panama

April 2009

The Peruvian Embassy in Panama expressed interest in starting negotiations for an FTA in 2010.

Peruvian delegates expressed that a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) would be used by their country to promote the use of the Canal and Panama's geographical position. They also indicated interest in using the Colón Free Zone to re-export textile products.

Panama Trade Mission to Chile and Peru

The Ministry of Trade and Industry has reported that in September this year there will be a trade mission to Chile and Peru.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Roberto Henriquez, reported that from the 5 to 9 September this year there will be a Trade Mission to Chile - Peru, with the participation of 15 domestic producers of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, shrimp, processed food, housewares, toys, footwear, cooling services, logistic services and the Colon Free Zone.

Peru FTA: Only Needs Ratification by Costa Rica

Following the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) by the Peruvian government, in order for it to enter into force, the only thing needed is approval from the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica.

The Association of Peruvian Exporters will hold meetings with entrepreneurs from El Salvador to increase bilateral trade.

The president of the Association of Peruvian Exporters (Adex), José Luis Silva Martinot, is visiting El Salvador to promote the importation of Salvadoran products to his country.
